Alexandra Brown- Student Intern Counselling Therapist-In-Training

Alex (she/her) is a Student Intern – Counselling Therapist In-Training at Sarah Carr Psychological Services. She is currently completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University.

Alex is passionate about mental health and connecting with clients. She provides a collaborative space for clients to build their confidence and self-compassion, and discover themselves. She is consistently humbled by her clients’ resilience and looks forward to helping people feel less alone in the world.

Alex incorporates elements from various modalities such as solution-focused and cognitive behavioural therapy to set realistic goals together with her clients. She is also a self-proclaimed dog nerd, and has an interest in someday becoming certified in animal-assisted therapy techniques.
